Tricia Strickfaden is an abstract expressionist modern artist. She worked in interior design industry for many years, but didn’t begin painting until after the birth of her daughter.  While working as a designer, she continued to evolve as an artist and build her following. LA’s hip and urban lifestyle would have a huge effect on her modern art, translating into the Urban Organics and Black and White series. Her background in modern design and interiors is evident in her work with the use of color inspired by the California lifestyle, implementation of organic gestured forms, and modern minimalistic shapes. She works with the push and pull of design elements and layering of color palettes to keep the work refreshing and real. The original work is represented by galleries and art dealers all across the country.

She currently shows her work at local charity auctions and art events, and galleries across the country. She has shown her work at the Long Beach Museum of Art, sold original paintings on One Kings Lane, and sells select reproductions of her pieces with Williams-Sonoma Home. She displayed her work at the 2013 Coastal Living Showhouse in Daniel Island, SC, at Ann Taylor clothing retailers, and has been published in Coastal Living and South Bay Magazines.

Strickfaden constantly studies modern design, color, and art to inspire her paintings. She looks for inspiration in the beauty of everyday life.

Southern California artist Tricia Strickfaden showcases her work at Ann Taylor clothing retailers.

Los Angeles, CA (Feb 2019) Tricia Strickfaden, (tsmodernart.com) a Southern California abstract artist and painter, is providing a curated collection of black and white abstract artwork to 180 Ann Taylor retail stores in the US and Canada. Ann Taylor will be featuring nine images per store from her Black and White Abstract and Collage Series on paper.

This black and white series stems from the simplicity of gestural shape and form, with the whimsical and unexpected drips of fluid paint.  Ann Taylor will be showcasing six gestural paintings, and three collage works in each store.

I’m thrilled to be working with a well-known and respected brand such as Ann Taylor. This abstract series is the perfect aesthetic for their beautiful stores and modern clothing line,” said Strickfaden, founder of TS ModernArt Studio.  The clientele will have the opportunity to purchase pieces from the  collection for their home or workspace directly from the artists website. You can view the collection here: tsmodernart.com/prints
